If you ask me how the flu in the COVID-19 has changed the way I live, the question is really scary. It raises many other questions in my head. And I appreciate the existence of this type of platform to express ourselves about it; since I would never have asked myself this question, which at first glance seems simple. But is not.
I am a lawyer by profession and this pandemic has changed my life in several aspects. For example, I was used to doing my daily activities outside my house, I didn’t use to stay at home. I left very early and arrived type 9 pm; I had a rather hectic pace of life.
In addition to this, I had an exercise routine that I did in a gym or pool every day and I went out with my friends every Friday. Changing my habits has been a little bit difficult, but I have tried to handle the situation in the best possible way. For example; having routines of meditation, exercise, and personal care, which have helped me to maintain myself.
In addition, the family dynamics have changed; more than two months now and I have not seen my grandparents, uncles, and cousins, and we were quite used to seeing each other often. For this, we opted to use electronic means to see each other and talk on video calls. I have been able to bond stronger emotional ties with my mother because she worked and circumstances allowed us to share very little.
This time has helped me to reflect, understand and value what I have in my life, to take better care of myself, and to prioritize the things that have great value in my life.
Thank you for reading my COVID-19 story.. :).
