Ethel’s career began in New Orleans, Louisiana where, as an intern at WGNO-TV,

she worked high profile assignments including interviewing then Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sister Helen Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking. She’s the producer of the documentary “Conversations with the Elders” and provided the voiceover for the 2011 Commonwealth Day Celebrations documentary which aired in 54 commonwealth countries. Ethel is passionate about empowering others; she is a sponsor at Child Fund International. Her past sponsorships include Women for Women International and She’s the First.

Sarah worked in medical administration and publishing over a 30+ year career, with some time

spent in the UK and Belgium. She met her long-term partner, Heath Savage, in 2002 and after her Mum passed away in 2017 they emigrated to Galicia, Spain from Sydney in 2018 to enjoy a semi-retired rural life. Heath now writes crime fiction and Sarah works as a copy editor—hence the link to this COVID-19 anthology. Sarah and Heath share their renovated house, built circa 1691, with two dogs, a cat and in the garden are three chooks!.

Brian is an experienced writer and chef who enjoys all things food, writing, serving

and entrepreneurship. As a writer, he worked on several shows, whose highlights include Hostel Season 4, 5 @Home and Balikoowa in the City. These shows were broadcast in Uganda, Kenya and across Africa. Brian showcases some of his culinary creations under the handles LeCelestPastries and thesibworeffect on Facebook and Instagram respectively. He intends to set up a Youtube channel where takes the world on an African cuisine culinary experience. Gaurav resides in a small village of a beautiful hill state, Himachal Pradesh in India.

He is an IT Startup Consultant, with expertise in IT Design/Development, Recruitment, and Fundraising. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and has worked in various IT roles for over nine years. Instead of joining IT companies in big cities, Gaurav preferred to stay near his native village and initially worked as an assistant professor in reputed engineering colleges. Community service is at the center of Gaurav’s heart. He has a passion for teaching others, especially underprivileged students and he’s served as a program manager for a Corporate Social Responsibility project which empowered rural youth, 18-35 years old, and taught them employability skills. He’s also been involved with his local government’s Rural Digital Awareness Programs and similar programs. COVID-19 has been a life-changer for Gaurav both professionally and personally!
