The COVID-19 pandemic has changed much of my daily life in a short span of time. Latter part of last year, the Chinese City of Wuhan has been reported to be quarantined. When the stay at home regulations began across my country as well two months ago, that was when I realized the situation is much more serious than I had thought.

Offices, schools and establishments were shut down and people are forced to stay at home to minimize the spread of the disease. A silver lining is that my employer implemented a work from home program so that we could still get to work and be paid even though we can’t go to the office. Personally, I feel more grateful now more than ever to be part of a company that values taking care of people above all else. Though the circumstances that we are going through is not that ideal, this quarantine has given me the opportunity to really focus on myself and on my family.

In one way or another, we all have been touched by this pandemic. We are definitely in a crazy point in history but certainly we will all get through this together.
