The COVID-19 pandemic has changed much of my daily life in a short span of time. In the latter part of last year, the Chinese city of Wuhan has been reported to be quarantined. When the stay-at-home regulations began across my country as well two months ago, that was when I realized the situation is much more serious than I had thought.

Offices, schools, and establishments were shut down and people are forced to stay at home to minimize the spread of the disease. A silver lining is that my employer implemented a work-from-home program so that we could still get to work and be paid even though we can’t go to the office. Personally, I feel more grateful now more than ever to be part of a company that values taking care of people above all else. Though the circumstances that we are going through are not that ideal, this quarantine has given me the opportunity to really focus on myself and my family.

In one way or another, we all have been touched by this pandemic. We are definitely at a crazy point in history but certainly, we will all get through this together.
