Hello, I am Bipin A., from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am currently in the final year of my Bachelor’s degree. Like most of the students around the world, I also had to suffer a little during the pandemic. When the pandemic first hit, I was waiting for my final exam. But then I had to wait a whole year to take that exam. I basically had to wait a whole year for my examination.

During the start of the lockdown, I was every time thinking about my exam and the year I had to waste. But then everyone has been in the same situation so I calmed myself down. I always have been fascinated by different languages around the globe and I was always interested in learning some of them. In the third month of the lockdown here in Nepal, I started with Sanskrit, and then later I also learned Spanish. I can now communicate with people in these languages but since there was no one to practice these languages with, I am still not confident to speak with native speakers.

This pandemic has helped me to learn some of the things I always wanted to. Adding these two languages to my list, now I am capable of speaking six languages. These two languages are so different and equally difficult to learn but I always had the will to learn so I managed to do it in lesser time than normal because I had a lot of time on my hands during the pandemic, I’m thankful to have used this time to learn two completely new languages.
