Hello everyone, my name is Ashfaq O. I am from Mymensingh, Bangladesh. I am a student and I am studying for a BSc in computer science.

After discovering its first case of COVID-19 the Bangladeshi government took the necessary steps to stop spreading this virus. A nationwide lockdown was announced for it. From then on I am staying in my home. My family is very much concerned about this virus. So, we stopped going outside without any necessity. I am spending my time in my room until then. I spend my time watching TV series, movies, and YouTube. Sometimes I play games to pass my time.

Though it is very much essential to stay at home for every people in my country, some of them don’t want to stay at home. They are not understanding how much dangerous this virus is. This virus spreads from person to person in close proximity, similar to other respiratory illnesses, such as the flu. They are putting their lives in danger as well as their family members. Government forces trying hard to make them stay in their home so that they can stop spreading this virus. But some person doesn’t have any intention to follow it.

The COVID-19 pandemic has thus far spread to so many many countries and regions of the world, significantly affecting the global economy. Since the virus has been growing exponentially, even the developed countries have been unable to contain its spread. As a result, people are dying in the affected areas at an alarming rate. Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, however, to our concern, the healthcare facilities in the country are too limited to serve its 160 million-plus population.

There is going to happen a session jam in the educational sector. This will affect our life and career. But I am not thinking about it. I am only thinking about my life and the life of my family members. This virus is deadly and we have to fight. We have to stay home to be safe.
