What are my supposed plans for this summer? Where should I be going? How did it end up?

I am Jared, one of the many people, who are greatly affected by the rapid, widespread CoViD-19 Pandemic. I was called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, assigned in the Thailand Bangkok Mission, and was supposed to have my training and report on the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah on the 30th of June. But due to the unfortunate circumstance of the Philippines, the enhanced community quarantine is implemented in Luzon and later followed by almost all of the regions in the whole country, and because of these events happening everywhere, my report to the Provo MTC is as good as canceled, but I’m very grateful that I can do my training online. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has big things coming up that are canceled because of this pandemic. Lockdowns and travel bans are being issued all around the world, and people are encouraged to stay at home and understand the situation.

Here in Manila, the local government issued curfews from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. Grocery stores, pharmacies, wet markets, and local convenience stores are the only establishments that are opened, and only one member per household is allowed to go outside to buy their goods and city government issued quarantine pass to make sure that only one can go outside. The situation is not that bad, but it isn’t good either, spending time on social media platforms while you’re at home can seriously annoy you, where lots of rants, ignorant criticisms, fake news, failed government actions, and just those people who are big balls of negativity takes place.

Also, resources are scarce because of limited income and many are not dying because of the disease but of starvation. So, how are my summer plans going? And how about the plans of others, how is it going? Well, to be honest, I don’t know, I don’t know when will this end, but I remain optimistic and faithful that things will get back to normal, so until then, Be Safe.
